Helping plant the seed for your future health

Hi, we’re Fig Lane Nutrition. Your source of the highlights on what really matters when it comes to your nutrition so you can regain your time and relationship with food and concentrate on what really matters most to you.

Whether you’re just starting to figure out what healthy eating looks like while cooking for yourself or feel like you’re lost after trying what feels like everything, we are glad you found us because we know starting with good nutrition can be hard… or so it seems.

Many programs, or people, pump you up with motivation starting out but then take a “black-and-white” approach to nutrition that is unsustainable long term. They often also use techniques to scare you into making changes that are so big you never want to take the first step or will have you focusing on meaningless changes.  On the other hand, nutrition guidelines can be great but where they can sometimes fall short is their clarity or providing actionable steps if you’re just starting out.

So yeah, getting started with good nutrition can be hard, especially when it comes to the options you have available. Which is why we created Fig Lane Nutrition, your sources for simplifying what really matters when it comes to nutrition and how to include it. We are focused on plant forward nutrition and… Meaning we cover recipes and information about plant forward nutrition and topics to help our audience learn and grow their knowledge and confidences.

So if you’re wondering, how many servings of vegetables do I need to get in a day…we got you. Or want a recipe to pack in the veggies because you just learned how many servings you should actually be eating…we also got you. With weekly blog posts and a newsletter. You can find information breaking down the nutrition guidelines, different recipe ideas, and time saving tips from prep to clean up.

Welcome to my blog!

I’m a registered dietitian with a passion for plant-forward nutrition, dedicated to helping you take control of your health through nutrition information and delicious and accessible recipes.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Applied Nutrition, as well as a Master of Science in Medical Nutrition Therapy, and complemented a 1,200 hours of hands-on internship experience to obtain my dietitian credentialing.

During this time, I focused on building my culinary experience through various career and educational opportunities, which set me apart in my field and equipped me with the skills to teach others how to nutritious food.

Throughout my career, I’ve specialized in weight management, malnutrition, and tube feeding, listening to and addressing the unique nutritional concerns of my clients. I started Fig Lane Nutrition because I believe that confidence and willingness to get a bit creative in the kitchen is essential for mastering nutrition. My goal is to provide you with clear, evidence-based information that cuts through the confusion often found in the nutrition space online and provide you with the tool kit of recipes that not only taste amazing but also empower you to explore plant-based cooking without stress.
